Our Founding Father

Apostle Dr N. Suppaya

Born on 17th December 1947 – he was called home to be with the Lord on 27th March 2016 in his 69th year of his life. All of us have sweet memories of him, flashbacks, some had dreams and other longing moments of him. However, his legacy will continue among us.

Apostle N Suppaya was born in Singapore to a Hindu family and he had 3 sisters and two brothers who resided in India. He was a staunch Hindu. He studied at Canberra Primary School thereafter at Naval Base Secondary School. Though short. we were told by him that he was the captain of his school’s basketball team.

He went into working life as a very young teenager to support his family who had just lost their father. He married sis Azi Lacthmey in 1970. They had 3 sons, but the eldest passed away at infant.

He worked at Sembawang Shipyard and many men were under his charge for 17 years.

He accepted the Lord in 1978 and was a member of the then Pentecostal Evangelical Church. The late Rev. John Steven was his pastor who baptized both him and his wife.

He was called into full-time ministry in 1982. That same year, he met with a serious accident in Malaysia while on a church mission trip. He saw 2 of his fellow church friends killed in that accident. Therefore, death was not something new to Apostle N Suppaya.
